Thanks For The Memories

It is with heavy heart that I announce to you, that after 35 wonderful years, this will be the final season of Lisa’s School of Dance Ltd. The final day of classes will be Monday June 14, 2021

My decision has not come lightly, there have been countless tears, months of sleepless nights and anxiety ridden days. Between the financial losses due to Covid-19, unpaid accounts, the “let’s wait and see” mindset, and overall student enrollment down by 65%, there is no way to sustain the business.

A very heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who tried so hard to make this work, donating fees when there were no classes last year, donating festival fee refunds and sticking by me with full class loads. I cannot begin to express how much you mean to me.

This is not at all how I pictured my “retirement” looking. I have never intended on closing the studio, I always thought the studio would go on even after I was ready to step down. Unfortunately, it has not played out that way.

I am so thankful for the 35 years of love and support from our community and our amazing dance families. I have made lifelong friends and have wonderful memories and experiences to look back on. I was an 18-year-old young woman with a dream. I succeeded in making my dreams come true and I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of the journey.

I have always had a very tight knit, smaller staff and I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am for all the help and creative excellence they have brought to the studio, this includes teaching and administrative staff. Without their help, the studio would not be what it is, so full of love and joy.

Although this is an incredibly sad moment in time, I want to celebrate all the love we have shared and continue to have fun and learn together for the remaining weeks of the season. I hope you will continue to dance in the future and keep developing. Please keep your passion alive.

Let us dance together and love every minute of it while we can. You are all a part of my heart; you will be missed.

Sending great big virtual hugs,

Miss Lisa xoxo
